Fabrics: The sample is made using solid fabrics. While low contrast print fabrics are an
option, the best pixelated effect is achieved using solids.
Tan: ½ yd
White: ½ yd
Blue: ¼ yd
Black: 1 yd
Green: 1-1/2 yd
Brown: ¾ yd
Light Blue: ½ yd
Supplies:

• Sewing machine in good working order with a 1/4” patchwork presser foot;
• Basic sewing supplies: a new needle, coordinating thread, scissors, pins, marking
tool/pen, large safety pins, quart size ziplock bags, ballpoint pen;
• Rotary cutter with sharp blade;
• Cutting ruler(s): recommended sizes are
? a long one such as 6”x24” and,
? a smaller one such as 6” x 12” or 8” x 8”
• Cutting mat if you wish to cut at your own table.
