Build your skill set, using a curved ruler.  Finish this block as a table topper or pillow, or take all the classes and combine all projects into a larger "quilt as you go" project.

*Sewing machine in good working order with Sew Steady table or slide on tray to support project;
*Ruler foot for your sewing machine;
*Pattern: Wholecloth Quilting Ideas Block 2 by Amanda Murphy;
*Curved ruler: Every Curve set of three Good Measure by Amanda Murphy.  It must be 1/4" thick to use with the Bernina
#72/72S ruler foot;
     Two pieces of fabric, (ironed) measuring 22' x 22'.  Fabric does not have to be solid white fabric, but it does need to be fabric you can easily mark and easily see those markings;
     1/4 yard binding fabric if making a single table topper;
Batting: one piece of batting measuring 22" x 22";
*Sewing supplies, including:
     24" ruler for marking;
     Marking tool (recommend Bohin chalk pencil for dark fabric and blue water soluble marker for light fabric);
     Spray adhesive for basting;
     Quilting gloves if you have them.

*Supplies marked with * can be purchased at Bernina.

Requirements: Wholecloth Rulerwork 1 is a prerequisite. BEFORE CLASS: PRE-Mark your quilt top with an 18" square. Add one horizontal, one vertical and two diagonal lines through the Center Point, forming a + and an X, using your marking tool. Then add the 22-1/2 degree lines using the Every Angle ruler. Be Precise -- the greater your accuracy in drawing the lines through the center point, the more balanced your project will look.
