Supply List

The New Hexagon book which is only available in digital format from Martingale Publishing

The New Hexagon Acrylic Fabric Cutting Template Set – 32 pieces

Add-on Acrylic Fabric Cutting Template set for several of the rosettes

The New Hexagon Millefiore paper pieces, can be purchased as a complete piece pack or individual, with the shipping/availability issue we have been experiencing, I would actually suggest the complete piece pack.

Magic Mirrors are very helpful if fussy cutting your hexies.

Monofiliment (invisible) thread or if you prefer 60 weight cotton thread to match fabric, but you will be changing your needle thread a ton if you go with that option.

60 wt cotton bobbin thread, I found light gray worked the best

Water soluble glue – Sewline works best for the small pieces – you will need several refills, larger stick glue for center of paper/fabric. Elmer's Purple liquid if gluing to Golden Threads paper.

Golden Threads paper for gluing the fabric pieces on prior to stitching them together is one option, the other would be to just lay your pieces out and pick them up two at a time

Size 60 sharp needles – you will not be able to use your machine's needle threader with that small of a needle.

Mister bottle and tweezers for removing papers.

Clean machine to start and then very frequently along the way

Small 18 mm rotary cutter

Small cutting mat – one that spins is the best

This is a perfect project for scraps or fat quarters, yardage if fussy cutting so you get enough repeats. You will need various amounts for each rosette. We will be starting Rosette 1 at our first meeting. I used 13 different fabrics for it.

The quilt finished at 80 x 80 and is a super fun project to make.
